SEC Charges Bank Of America For Failing To Disclose Merrill Lynch Bonus Payments
The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Bank of America Corporation for misleading investors about billions of dollars in bonuses that were being paid to Merrill Lynch & Co. executives at the time of its acquisition of the firm. Bank of America agreed to settle the SEC's charges and pay a penalty of $33 million.

MGEX Sets New July Monthly Electronic Volume Record - Posts Fourth Best Daily Electronic Volume
MGEX (Minneapolis Grain Exchange or Exchange) July electronic trading volume reached 71,859 contracts, setting a new July record. This marks a 48 percent increase over the previous July electronic record of 48,707 set in 2008 and makes July 2009 the seventh best electronic volume month in Exchange history.

Over 90 Billion Euro Turnover At Deutsche Börse In July - 13.7 Million Trades Executed On Xetra - Total Volume Of €104 Billion Traded On All Stock Exchanges In Germany
In July, €90.4 billion were turned over on Xetra® and on the floor at Börse Frankfurt – a decrease of 55 percent year-on-year (July 2008: €201.4 billion). Of the €90.4 billion turnover €84.1 billion were traded on Xetra, a decrease by 56 percent year-on-year (July 2008: €193.3 billion). €6.3 billion were traded on the floor (July 2008: €8.1 billion).

Average Daily Volume Of 9.5 Million Contracts At Eurex And ISE In July - GC Pooling Market Segment Continues To Grow
At the international derivatives markets of Eurex, an average daily volume of 9.5 million contracts were traded in July (July 2008: 12.4 million). Thereof, 5.4 million contracts were traded at Eurex (July 2008: 7.8 million) and 4.1 million contracts were traded at the International Securities Exchange (ISE) (July 2008: 4.6 million). Trading Volumes: July was the sixth consecutive month to average over 20 million tonnes through the Exchange per day – Average Daily Volume for 2009 stands at 21.3 Mt.
