Deutsche Börse: 94 Billion Euros Turnover On Xetra In May
Order book turnover on Xetra and the Xetra Frankfurt specialist trading stood at €99.0 billion in May – a decrease by 27 percent year-on-year (May 2011: €136.5 billion). Of the €99.0 billion, €94.1 billion were attributable to Xetra – a decrease by 28 percent y-o-y (May 2011: €130.8 billion). €4.8 billion were attributable to the Xetra Frankfurt specialist trading, an 15 percent decrease y-o-y (May 2011: €5.6 billion). Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange* totalled approximately €2.3 billion in May.

The Spanish Stock Exchange Traded €70.38 Billion In May, Up 7% From The Previous Month
- In May the number of trades came in at over 4.7 million, a monthly record high
- The number of ETF trades in May were up 152% year on year
- In May trading in BME’s Derivatives market reached 5.4 million contracts, up 26.2% from May 2011
- Corporate Debt trading was down 65.2%, at €140.85 billion, although there was a pick-up in trading to maturity

NYSE Euronext Welcomes NYSE-Listed Chemtura Corporation To Its European Market
Chemtura Corporation (ticker symbol: CHMT), a U.S. global specialty chemicals company, announced its Fast Path cross-listing on NYSE Euronext in Paris today. Chemtura Corporation is the first NYSE-listed company in 2012 to take advantage of this streamlined and cost-effective process and the fourteenth to do so since the facility was made available by NYSE Euronext in 2008.

The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 2.2 billion, as compared to EUR 2.4 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day was 366,869 as compared to 391,372 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 659 billion, compared to EUR 809 billion in May 2011.
