EBA Issues Technical Advice To The Commission On Contributions To The Single Resolution Fund
The European Banking Authority (EBA) provided today its technical advice to the European Commission on the criteria and principles that will be used to determine the uniform level of contributions by banks in the participating EU Member States to the Single Resolution Fund. Pooling financial resources into this common fund will be crucial for a successful implementation of the Banking Union. The EBA's technical advice will inform a delegated act to be adopted by the Commission on the initial period for the contributions to the Single Resolution Fund.

HM Treasury And The Bank Of England: Fair And Effective Markets Review Releases Final Report
The Fair and Effective Markets Review today published its Final Report, which sets out 21 recommendations to help restore trust in the wholesale Fixed Income, Currency and Commodity (FICC) markets. The Review was established by the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Governor of the Bank of England in June 2014 to help to restore trust in those markets in the wake of a number of recent high profile abuses.

I. Description of Administrative Actions
Orders based on Article 47, Paragraph 2 and 4, and Article 26, Paragraph 1, of the Banking Act:

Suspend new transactions by the Tokyo Branch in the period from June 17, 2015, to July 16, 2015, (however, this shall not preclude transactions based on existing contracts [including letters of intent, etc.] signed prior to June 16, 2015, the provision on refinancing to existing customers, outward and inward remittances through existing deposit accounts of customers, financing and investment management transactions with other financial institutions, and other business activities individually approved by the FSA).

Bucharest Stock Exchange Monthly Report May 2015
The market capitalization of all companies listed on Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), including the international ones, rose over RON 150bn (almost EUR 34bn) in May for the first time ever in BVB’s history. The highest level was reached on May 19, when the market capitalization was RON 150.7bn (EUR 33.9bn). At the end of May, the market capitalization was RON 150.1bn (EUR 33.8bn), by almost 3% over the level registered at the end of April.
