ESMA Consults On AIFMD Passport And Third Country AIFMs
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has today opened a call for evidence on the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD). ESMA has to develop an Opinion under the AIFMD on the functioning of the EU passport and the functioning of the marketing of non-EU AIFs by EU AIFMs in the EU and the management and/or marketing of AIFs by non-EU AIFMs in the EU.

CFTC Staff Provide Time-Limited No-Action Relief For Certain Affiliated Counterparties
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (Commission) Divisions of Clearing and Risk (DCR) and Market Oversight (DMO) today each extended previously-issued no-action relief for certain inter-affiliate transactions. As described further below, DCR and DMO are extending, until December 31, 2015, no-action relief that was previously provided in DCR No-Action Letter 14-25 and DMO No-Action Letter 14-26, respectively.

BSkyB Lists Debt Securities Worth US$2bn On The ISE
British Sky Broadcasting Group plc (BSkyB), the leading home entertainment and communications business in the UK and Ireland, has listed two debt securities on the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE). The US$750m 2.6% Senior Notes due in 2019 and US$1.25bn 3.75% Senior Notes due in 2024 were listed on the Global Exchange Market (GEM) today.

HKEx: Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling
The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 14 November 2014 (Friday), 42 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 19 existing designated securities will be removed from the list. The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 796 after the revision.
