New York State Department Of Financial Services Announces Return Of 17th Century Painting From France To Heir Of Victim Of Nazi Persecution - DFS Holocaust Claims Processing Office (HCPO) Has Helped Return $171 Million In Assets To Victims’ Families And Recover 101 Works Of Art To Date - DFS Launching New Online Database And Virtual Art Gallery To Aid In Recovery Effort
Benjamin M. Lawsky, Superintendent of Financial Services, today announced – at a ceremony at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City – that a 17th Century painting lost as a result of Nazi persecution is being returned to the heir of its rightful owner. The painting, Portrait of a Man, which had been held at the Louvre in Paris, was recovered with the assistance of the Department of Financial Services’ (DFS) Holocaust Claims Processing Office (HCPO) and returned with the cooperation of the French government.

CFTC Charges United Arab Emirates Residents Heet Khara And Nasim Salim With Spoofing In The Gold And Silver Futures Markets - Court Issues An Ex Parte Restraining Order Freezing Defendants’ Assets And Preserving Records
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced the filing of a civil enforcement action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Heet Khara andNasim Salim, residents of the United Arab Emirates. According to the CFTC’s Complaint, Defendants engaged in unlawful disruptive trading practices known as “spoofing” in the gold and silver futures markets by placing bids and offers with the intent to cancel them before execution.

BGC Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ: BGCP) (“BGC Partners,” “BGC,” or “the Company”), a leading global brokerage company servicing the financial and real estate markets, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Computerized Facility Integration, LLC (“CFI”). CFI is a premier real estate strategic consulting and systems integration firm that manages over three billion square feet globally for Fortune 500 companies, owner-occupiers, government agencies, healthcare and higher education clients. CFI provides corporate real estate, facilities management, and enterprise asset management information consulting and technology solutions that yield hundreds of millions of dollars in cost-savings for its client base on an annual basis.
