SEC Publishes Request For Comment On Regulation S-X
The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it is seeking public comment on the effectiveness of financial disclosure requirements in Regulation S-X. The request for comment focuses on the requirements for the form and content of financial disclosures that companies must file with the Commission about acquired businesses, affiliated entities, and guarantors and issuers of guaranteed securities.

CFTC Signs Memorandum Of Understanding With The Korean Financial Services Commission And The Financial Supervisory Service To Enhance Supervision Of Cross-Border Clearing Organizations
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced today that CFTC Chairman Tim Massad signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chairman Yim Jong-Yong of the Korean Financial Services Commission (FSC) and Governor Zhin Woong-Seob of the Korean Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) regarding cooperation and the exchange of information in the supervision and oversight of clearing organizations that operate on a cross-border basis in the United States and in the Republic of Korea.

US Treasury’s Federal Insurance Office Releases Natural Catastrophe Report - New Report Examines The State Of The U.S. Market For Natural Disaster Insurance
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Federal Insurance Office (FIO) today released a report on the current state of the market for natural catastrophe insurance in the United States. The Report is called for by the Biggert-Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012 (Biggert-Waters Act).

Federal Court In Illinois Orders Futures International LLC And Its Chief Operating Officer, Amedeo Cerrone, To Pay $500,000 Penalty For Recordkeeping Violations, False Statements, Unauthorized Trading, And Supervision Failures
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that Judge Robert W. Gettleman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois entered a Consent Order settling CFTC charges against Defendants Chicago-based Futures International LLC (FI) and its Chief Operating Officer Amedeo Cerrone of St. Charles, Illinois, for failing to adequately record customer orders; failing to maintain required records relating to commodity futures transactions; submitting order tickets bearing false timestamps; unauthorized trading; and failing to provide adequate supervision. FI is a registered Introducing Broker. The Order requires FI and Cerrone jointly to pay a civil monetary penalty of $500,000.
