CBOE Stock Exchange (CBSX) Sets Record Monthly Volume In July
The CBOE Stock Exchange, LLC (CBSX) today announced that CBSX trading volume in July reached an all-time monthly high with 598.0 million shares traded, an average daily volume (ADV) of 28.0 million shares. This surpasses the previous monthly volume record set in October 2008 when 490.0 million shares (23.0 million ADV) changed hands at CBSX.

OCC Announces Total Contract Volume In July Down 9% As Year-To-Date Average Daily Volume Rose 9%
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) announced today that total OCC cleared volume in July reached 279,245,228 contracts, representing a 9% decrease over the July 2009 volume of 307,085,331 contracts. However, average daily volume for 2010 is 15,816,927 contracts, a 9% increase compared to last year’s average of 14,552,341 contracts. OCC’s year-to-date total volume is up 8% with 2,293,454,442 contracts.

CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC Year-Over-Year Volume Increases For Tenth Consecutive Month During July - Trading Volume Up 3% Versus Previous Month
The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that July 2010 trading volume totaled 270,014 contracts, compared to 89,851 contracts during July 2009. July marked the tenth consecutive month in which total volume registered an increase when comparing year-over-year trading activity. July's volume rose three percent from the 261,451 contracts that traded during June 2010.

Kansas City Board Of Trade Sets Multitude Of New Records In July - Single-Day Volume, Open Interest And Monthly Volume Records Set
The Kansas City Board of Trade set a multitude of new records as of July 31. On Friday, new records were set for Hard Red Winter wheat single-day volume and open interest. Trading volume for the month of July broke all previous monthly records for the exchange and for the HRW wheat futures contract.

CBOE Reports July 2010 Trading Volume - Leads U.S. options Exchanges In Market Share - Year-To-Date Average Daily Volume up 5%
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today reported that daily volume in July averaged 3.9 million contracts, a six-percent decline from June 2010 average daily volume (ADV) of 4.1 million contracts and down 11 percent from July 2009 ADV of 4.3 million contracts.

MGEX Nearly Doubles July Year-Over-Year Volume - Open Interest Up 51 Percent
MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), today announced July 2010 volume of 170,679, a 98 percent increase over the same period last year and the thirteenth-best monthly Exchange volume in MGEX’s 129 year history. July futures open interest soared 61 percent year-over-year and total Exchange open interest increased by 51 percent in the same period.

In July 2010, total turnover on SIX Swiss Exchange and Scoach Switzerland amounted to CHF 90.1 billion, representing a 10.1% decline versus the previous month. The total number of trades eased by 1.2% to 2,880,168. While the number of trades in shares, including funds and ETSFs, remained practically unchanged at 2,692,496 (-0.4%), turnover in the same segment decreased by 5.0% to CHF 70 billion.
