Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Welcomes Announcement Of RQFII Pilot Scheme
The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the pilot scheme jointly announced by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), People’s Bank of China and State Administration of Foreign Exchange today to allow Hong Kong subsidiaries of qualified fund managers and securities companies to channel renminbi (RMB) raised in Hong Kong to have the opportunity to invest in Mainland securities markets.

UK's Financial Services Authority Bans And Fines Former UBS Adviser £150,000 For Not Being Fit And Proper
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has today banned and fined Jaspreet Singh Ahuja, a former client adviser at UBS AG (UBS), £150,000 for failing to act with integrity, in breach of Principle 1 of its Statements of Principles and Code of Conduct for Approved Persons (“APER”) and for not being a fit and proper person. Ahuja is prohibited from performing any function in relation to any regulated activity in the financial services industry.

ECB Publishes Consolidated Banking Data For 2011
Today the European Central Bank (ECB) is publishing the June-2011 Consolidated Banking Data (CBD), a data set that provides various statistics about the EU banking system on consolidated basis. It includes statistics on both individual EU Member States and the EU as a whole. It refers to 4,700 credit institutions and 434 banking groups and covers data for 1,016 foreign-controlled branches and subsidiaries operating in the EU. In particular, the data set includes profitability and efficiency indicators, balance sheet indicators relating to banks’ funding sources, non-performing loans developments as well as solvency ratios.

Tesco Bank Launches Second Retail Bond On ORB - Issue Raises £60m With RPI Inflation-Linked bond - Tesco Bank Opens The Market At London Stock Exchange
The London Stock Exchange today welcomed the latest new bond listing to its Order book for Retail Bonds (ORB). Tesco Bank, the personal finance arm of the leading international retail group, has raised £60 million on the market, direct from private investors. Barclays Capital, Evolution Securities and Lloyds TSB Bank Plc acted as book runners on the deal.

Please be advised that in accordance with the resolution of the RTS’s Board of Directors that was passed in compliance with the Derivatives Rules of RTS, Clause 6.2 the evening trading session on FORTS will start 10 minutes later today, i.e. at 7:10 pm MSK, as today is the expiration day of the front month option contracts.

I. UBS Securities Japan Ltd
The Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC) conducted an inspection on UBS Securities Japan Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”), and found a violation of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (hereinafter referred to as the “FIEA”). On December 9, 2011, the SESC recommended to take administrative action against the Company.
