EBS Market Demonstrates Continuous, Deep And Reliable Liquidity In All Regions During Exceptionally Volatile Markets - $250bn Total Spot FX Volume Traded On 31 October
EBS, ICAP’s market-leading electronic FX business, announces today that its flagship EBS Market platform saw its highest total daily trading volume of the year on Friday 31 October 2014. In exceptionally volatile markets, following the Bank of Japan’s announcement to expand its quantitative easing programme, total daily volume on EBS Market was $228bn and overall EBS total daily volume was $250bn, making this EBS’s highest trading day in three years.

ASX Group Monthly Activity Report – October 2014
The value of ASX-listed stocks, as measured by the All Ordinaries Index, rose 3.9% in October 2014. This performance was stronger than most other major markets, including the US up 2.3%, Japan up 1.5%, Singapore down 0.1%, the UK down 1.2% and Germany down 1.6%. The Hong Kong market was up 4.6%.

TOCOM October Volume Averaged 111,633 Contracts Per Day, Up 21.3% M-on-M
The Tokyo Commodity Exchange announced today that average daily trading volume for October was 111,633 contracts, up 21.3% from September. TOCOM’s core commodities saw significant increase in volume: Gold was up 14.7% to 45,460 contracts, Platinum was up 27.9% to 25,094 contracts and Crude Oil was up 43.1% to 4,808 contracts. The average daily volume recovered to levels last seen in June 2013. Overall monthly trading volume also increased to the highest level since April 2013, at 2,455,916 contracts. Volume on October 31 was 179,282 contracts, the highest this year.
