CalPERS Investment Office Cuts Expenses For Five-Year Period, Tops Peer Benchmark In Cost Survey - Internal Management, Use Of Index Strategies Among Primary Contributors
The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) today reported that annual ongoing costs for its investment operations have declined by approximately $90 million for the five-fiscal-year period from 2009-14. The System also reported that it was found to be 'cost-advantaged' in a CEM Benchmarking (CEM) survey, when measured against its peers.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced today that CFTC Chairman Tim Massad and Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) Chairman Wayne Byres have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding cooperation and the exchange of information in the supervision and oversight of regulated firms that operate on a cross-border basis in the United States and in Australia.
