Deutsche Börse Clearing Breaks Through Sound Barrier - Over 5 Trillion Euros In Custody Volume In October
Custody volume at Deutsche Börse Clearing exceeded five trillion euros for the first time. At the beginning of November, Deutsche Börse Clearing held securities in deposit with a market value totalling 5.1trillion euros, about 20 percent more than at the end of last year.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Total Futures & Options Open 13% Higher Than October 31, 1998
Many new records were set in open interest during the month of October. Most were in canola futures and options, which finished the month with open interest up 7% and 364% respectively over October 31, 1998. Open interest in canola futures peaked at a record 77,405 contracts on October 15. The January contract reached an historical high of 34,982 contracts open on October 29 and continues to set new records in the current month.

Toronto Futures Exchange Commences Orderly Wind-Up
At a meeting held on November 9, 1999, the Board of Governors (the "Board") of the Toronto Futures Exchange ("TFE") unanimously voted in favor of commencing an orderly wind up of the TFE and its operations. The Board intends to seek the approval of the wind up from the members of the TFE at a special meeting to be held in December of this year. The Board will also seek the approval of the wind up from all other relevant parties, including any required regulatory approvals.

swissfirst AG Opens 10.53 % Above Public Offering Price
The shares of swissfirst AG - a company that specialises in brokerage of Swiss shares and derivatives, compiling financial analyses for institutional clients and providing discretionary asset management services - traded for the first time today on the SWX Swiss Exchange. The issuance price was set at CHF 665.00 via a fixed pricing. The opening price of the shares stood 10.53 % above that level in SWX trading at CHF 735.00, representing a total market capitalisation of CHF 374.85 Mio.

KCBT Amends CFTC Filing To Alter Western Natural Gas Contract
The Kansas City Board of Trade today amended its filing with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to convert the western natural gas futures contract from a "flat price" contract to a "basis" futures contract. The changes pertain to the reference price being used as the basis for the futures contract.

Indicative Selections For Amsterdam Exchanges And Amsterdam Midkap Indices As At 29 October 1999
Amsterdam Exchanges has made an indicative selection of the constituent shares in the Amsterdam Exchanges (AEX) and Amsterdam Midkap (AMX) indices on the basis of the value of turnover up to 29 October 1999. The period used for determining the selection for the AEX index was, as announced earlier, reduced from three calendar years to one calendar year, and the value of turnover used for determining the selection of the AMX index will no longer be weighted.
