UK's Financial Services Authority Fines And Bans Oil Futures Broker For Market Abuse
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has fined Steven Noel Perkins, a former oil futures broker, £72,000 for market abuse. The FSA has also banned Perkins from working in the financial services industry on the grounds that he is not a fit and proper person.

Thai Bourse Joins Alliances To Increase Alternatives For Investors
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has increased investment alternatives for provident fund and Government Pension Fund (GPF) members through the program “Employee’s Choice.” The SET has signed a memorandum of understanding with the GPF and Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC) to promote this program and build a long-term investment culture by encouraging the funds’ members to increase their financial sophistication and choose their own investment plans.

HKEx Is Studying Dividend Point Indexes Futures
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) welcomes Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited’s introduction of the Dividend Point Index Series, which comprises the HSI Dividend Point Index, an indicator of cash dividends from constituents of the Hang Seng Index, and the HSCEI Dividend Point Index, an indicator of cash dividends from constituents of the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, or H-shares Index.
