Warsaw Stock Exchange: Life Science Index To Mark 3 Years Of NewConnect
On 30 August 2010 NewConnect, the most dynamically growing international alternative equities market in Europe, will celebrate its 3rd anniversary. In Spring 2010 the WSE introduced the NewConnect Lead segment; two companies from NC Lead migrated to the WSE Main List since then. The WSE is launching the Life Science Index, incorporating medical and biotechnological companies listed on NewConnect.

HKFE Announces Revised Margins For Futures Contracts

Thai Bourse Announces The Update Selection Criteria For Stocks In SET50 And SET100
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) announces that the selection criteria for SET50 and SET100 indices is amended in terms of the size screening rule from using their past 12 months record to 3 months of average daily market capitalization.

Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority - Finansinspektionen - HQ Bank's Licence Revoked
Finansinspektionen has revoked HQ Bank AB's licence. The bank has grossly breached the most central provisions of Swedish legislation and FI will apply for the company to be entered into liquidation. FI believes that this decision will not have an impact on financial stability.

NASDAQ OMX Suspends HQ Bank AB
Following the Swedish FSA's decision to revoke HQ Bank's trading and banking license, NASDAQ OMX has decided to suspend HQ Bank's equity trading membership with NASDAQ OMX Stockholm AB, NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen A/S and NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Oy as well their derivatives trading and clearing membership with NASDAQ OMX Stockholm AB. The FSA's decision to revoke HQ Bank's licenses means that HQ Bank no longer fulfils the member criteria.

Statement On High-Speed And Algorithmic Trading By CFTC Commissioner Bart Chilton
This week, news articles reported what may be yet another example of high-speed trading run amok. It was reported that an “error” caused the price of oil to spike by a dollar on NYMEX in a matter of seconds back in February. Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes: The shareholders of Gerdau Ameristeel Corporation (TSX:GNA) have accepted the $US11.00 cash per share offer from Gerdau S.A.
