Shenzhen Stock Exchange:.Privately Placed SME Bonds Ushered In
SZSE approved registration of privately-placed SME bonds on Thursday 7 June2012,, ushering in high-risk uncollateralized debt offerings from SME issuers. According to a SZSE representative, the exchange received issuance documents from 13 SMEs located in Beijing, Shenzhen,Zhejiang and Jiangsu. Eight securities firms, including Guosen Securities, BOC International (China) Limited, China Development Bank Securities, China Securities, Ping An Securities, Zheshang Securities, Guotai Junan Securities and Sealand Securities, served as underwriters. As of 7 June 2012, 9 registrations had been completed and 4 remained in progress.

CME Group Announces Record First-Day Trading Volume In Short-Dated New Crop Options
CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced thatShort-Dated New Crop Options set a record on Monday, June 4, trading 2,105 Short-Dated New Crop Corn options contracts on its first day. This represents the greatest volume of day-one trading for any of CME Group's agricultural commodities products, and surpasses the previous record of 1,840 contracts set by Soybean Calendar Spread Options (CSO) on June 1, 2009. Short-Dated New Crop Options contracts are listed with and subject to the rules of CBOT.

I would like to spend my time addressing two recent landmark pieces of legislation that affect the area that I and my colleagues at the SEC oversee—the financial markets. They are the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010 and the JOBS Act of 2012.
