Four Arrested In UK’s Financial Conduct Authority Insider Dealing Investigation
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) with the assistance of the Metropolitan Police has this morning executed search warrants in West London. Four individuals including three men aged 29, 51, and 56 and one women aged 25 have been arrested and are currently in custody to be questioned in connection with an investigation in to Insider Dealing and Market Abuse.

Tokyo Commodity Exchange To Change "Top 10 Volume By Member"
TOCOM publishes the "Top 10 Volume by Member" report, which contains information on the members holding 10 largest trade volumes, with the name of each member and the number of trade volume (the total of buy and sell transactions) for each commodity.

- Alternative UCITS inflows in 2Q 2013: +6 Euro billion, Single managers; +137 Euro million, Fund of funds
- 103.7 Euro billion of total assets under management monitored, up from 96.1 Euro billion at end of March 2013;
- Fixed income is still the largest contributor to the growth of the sector: +3.9 Euro billion of inflows in 2Q 2013 (+8.7 billion in 2013 until June.

London Stock Exchange Group today announced that it has been selected as the business development and technology partner by the Argentinian Central Securities Depository (CSD), Caja de Valores S.A. (CVSA). CVSA acts as the technology provider to the newly formed Bolsa & Mercados Argentinos exchange (B&MA). MillenniumIT, LSEG’s proprietary technology company, will supply capital markets technology across asset classes, including its ultra low latency, highly scalable trading platform, Millennium Exchange.

State Street Report Takes The Pulse Of Buy-Side Firms Mandated To Clear OTC Derivatives - State Street’s SwapEx Files Registration With The CFTC To Become A Multi-Asset Swap Execution Facility
Buy-side firms are unprepared for new trading mechanisms, costs and increased complexity and should partner with established providers to adapt to an evolved OTC derivatives marketplace, according to research commissioned by State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT). Global Board Of Trade Launches Silver Spot CFD Contract

Chairwoman Stabenow - U.S. Senate Committee On Agriculture, Nutrition And Forestry - Presses CFTC To Review Alleged Manipulation Of Aluminum Market
Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Chairwoman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, yesterday called on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to clarify the role and responsibility of the agency in addressing recent allegations that owners of U.S. warehouses, overseen by a UK-based commodity exchange, are intentionally slow-walking the delivery of purchased aluminum to profit from storage fees. The allegations also charge that these owners are distorting the market price of aluminum to their advantage. News reports and congressional testimony have indicated that consumers are bearing the brunt of skewed market prices for aluminum, paying billions dollars more a year for goods from canned beverages to cars because of price distortion.
