Moscow Exchange Has First “All-Market” Trading Solution With Horizon Software
Moscow Exchange (MOEX), specialising in equity and derivatives trading is going live withHorizon Software’s global trading technology. Horizon is the first global vendor to be certified for both equities and derivatives trading and will provide access to the full suite of electronic trading solutions to all exchange members: investment banks, hedge funds and brokers. The company has worked closely with MOEX to release fully compliant, high-speed connectivity for members and clients and is the only global vendor to be certified for both equities and derivatives markets by the exchange.

SEC Charges Chicago-Based Investment Fund Manager With Stealing Investor Money And Conducting Ponzi Scheme
The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced fraud charges and an asset freeze against a Chicago-based investment fund manager accused of stealing money he raised from investors to pay personal and business expenses.

Qatar Stock Exchange Breaks All Records On Day Of MSCI Emerging Markets Upgrade
Qatar Stock Exchange had an exceptional trading session today to mark the introduction of the MSCI Qatar Index into the MSCI Emerging Markets index. Total volume traded reached QR 4,583,738,718.83 shattering the previous record volume of QR 2.351bn on June 9th, 2008 while the QE Index finished on an all-time closing high of 13,694.19. Other significant milestones established today include daily trades (22,170) and orders (44,951).

Asset Managers To Ramp Up Oversight Automation To Manage Operational Risk, According To Research By Milestone Group
Asset managers are feeling unprepared for future challenges despite already making strides to improve fund oversight, according to a survey of North American institutional asset managers. The research, carried out by Milestone Group, surveyed leading organizations and showed that 40 percent of respondents felt their current operation was unprepared to meet anticipated regulatory changes and desired an increase in automation. However, approximately 61 percent would not wait for new regulations to arrive before strengthening oversight, as asset managers and trustees make protecting their reputation and the interests of investors their top priority.

Bank Of England And HM Treasury Funding For Lending Scheme – 2014 Q1 Usage And Lending data
The Bank has today published data on the use of the Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS) showing, for each group participating in the FLS Extension, the net quarterly flows of lending to UK businesses1 in the first quarter of 2014 and the amount borrowed from the Bank during February and March.

Singapore Accounting Standards Council And SGX Say Singapore-Listed Companies To Embrace Full Convergence With IFRS In 2018
The Singapore Accounting Standards Council (ASC) today said Singapore-incorporated companies listed on Singapore Exchange (SGX) will apply a new financial reporting framework identical to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in 2018. SGX will work closely with the ASC to engage Singapore-listed companies on the transition to the new framework.
