CME Weather Futures, Options To Begin Trading Sept. 22
The world's first exchange-traded temperature-related weather derivatives will begin trading at 9 a.m. (Central time) tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 22, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange announced.

Change To Standard Tick Sizes For Shares Traded On AEX Stock Market
On Friday 1 October, Amsterdam Exchanges' stock market will introduce a new standard for tick sizes for shares. The adjusted tick sizes will be based on the closing price of each share on Thursday 30 September. The standard tick size for a share is dependent on the share's absolute price.

Richard Ward Appointed Chief Executive Of IPE
At a meeting on September 17 the IPE Board of Directors agreed to appoint Richard Ward as Chief Executive of the Exchange. Dr Ward has been acting Chief Executive since the beginning of August when the previous incumbent Lynton Jones left the IPE.

Osaka Mercantile Exchange Aluminium Futures Weekly Report
This week, OME aluminium futures dropped due to the outlook of the stronger yen against the dollar. Distant two months fell to the 170 yen level. Distant month : opening 169.0 yen, a high 169.5 yen (Sep. 17), a low 166.6 yen (Sep. 16), closing 168.9 yen.

LIFFE lists Three Month Euribor and EuroLibor Futures contracts on LIFFE CONNECTâ„¢
The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) today lists its euro-denominated Short Term Interest Rate (STIR) futures contracts (the Three Month Euribor and Three Month EuroLibor futures contracts) on LIFFE CONNECTâ„¢; the last of the complement of STIR futures contracts to be listed on the electronic trading system.

HKFE Briefs Members on Merger Proposal
The Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE) on September 17 held an informal briefing session for Shareholders to explain documents and procedures related to the proposed merger of the HKFE, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and the related clearing houses. Approximately 100 Shareholders and their associates attended the informal briefing.
