Order book turnover on Xetra, Börse Frankfurt and Tradegate Exchange across all asset classes stood at €125.6 billion in May (May 2014: €96.1 billion).
Of the €125.6 billion, €117.1 billion were attributable to Xetra (May 2014: €88.4 billion). The average daily turnover on Xetra stood at €6.2 billion in May (May 2014: €4.2 billion).
A turnover of €3.7 billion was attributable to Börse Frankfurt (May 2014: €3.9 billion).
Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange* totalled approximately €4.8 billion in May (May 2014: €3.8 billion).
Broken down by asset classes, cash market turnover in equities reached about €107.8 billion. Turnover in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs amounted to €15.6 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.6 billion, and in structured products €1.3 billion. The electronic trading platform Eurex Bonds traded €5.7 billion (single counting, mainly government bonds) in May (May 2014: €12.6 billion).
Viewed by transactions, a total of 18.5 million trades were executed on Xetra in May (May 2014: 15.7 million).
The DAX security with the highest turnover in May was Allianz SE at €6.2 billion. Evonik Industries AG led the MDAX equities at €876.4 million, while HELLA KGaA Hueck & Co. topped the SDAX equity index with €187.3 million, and Dialog Semiconductor plc headed TecDAX with €564.9 million. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF with €1.6 billion.
