A key concern of the AMF is to ensure that the market is supplied with timely information that is easy to understand and comparable over time. In its Recommendation n° 2013-01 it therefore encourages issuers to provide pro-forma information over a twelve-month period whenever they have modified their date of the end of the reporting period.
Changes made to the end of the reporting period generally result in asymmetry in the financial information reported to the market. In order to ensure that this information is easy to understand and comparable for investors, the AMF has decided to set out its expectations in terms of pro-forma reporting in its Recommendation n° 2013-01.
The AMF therefore recommends that issuers supply pro-forma information on the main accounting aggregates for the twelve-month period to the new reporting period.
