The Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) has published revised rulebooks to reflect new EU-wide changes to market abuse legislation which are effective from 3 July 2016.
The rules revised by the ISE include the rules for the Main Securities Market (MSM), Global Exchange Market (GEM), Enterprise Securities Market (ESM) and Atlantic Securities Market (ASM) as well as rules for member firms trading securities on the ISE’s markets.
The rule books for advisors to issuers on the ESM and the ASM, and relevant forms for listing have also been updated.
The new EU market abuse legislation includes the Market Abuse Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 (MAR) and the Market Abuse Directive 2014/57/EU (MAD II) and replaces the previous Market Abuse Directive (2003/6/EC).
