The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) announced today the results of the quarterly evaluation of the NASDAQ Q-50 Index (Nasdaq:NXTQ), which will become effective prior to market open on Monday, September 19, 2011.
The following eight securities will be added to the Index:Avago Technologies Limited (Nasdaq:AVGO), BE Aerospace, Inc. (Nasdaq:BEAV),Deckers Outdoor Corporation (Nasdaq:DECK), Level 3 Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:LVLT), Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq:OTEX), SXC Health Solutions Corp. (Nasdaq:SXCI), Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. (Nasdaq:ULTA), and Pharmasset, Inc. (Nasdaq:VRUS).
The Index is designed to track the performance of the 50 securities that are next in line to replace the securities currently included in the NASDAQ-100 Index®. As a result of the evaluation, the following seven securities will be removed from the Index:Cree, Inc. (Nasdaq:CREE), Foster Wheeler AG(Nasdaq:FWLT), JDS Uniphase Corporation (Nasdaq:JDSU), Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:MDRX), MercadoLibre, Inc.(Nasdaq:MELI), Patterson Companies, Inc. (Nasdaq:PDCO), and Sohu.com Inc. (Nasdaq:SOHU).
