During the CorporateSocial Responsibility (CSR) Forum, Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) was honored forits sponsorship of this CSR event, which is the first of its kind at thenational level. The forum was held todayunder the patronage of HE Sheikh Abdulla bin Saud Al Thani, Governor of QatarCentral Bank, and Chairman of Sport, Social and Culture Fund; and was opened byHE Mr Salah Ghanem Al Ali, Minister of Youth and Sports and Vice Chairman ofthe Fund.
Qatar Stock Exchangewas recognized for its contribution to the CSR Forum and the publication of thesecond edition of the White Book on the CSR practices in the State of Qatar.
On this occasion,Mr. Rashid Bin Ali Al-Mansoori, CEO of Qatar Stock Exchange, emphasized on theimportance of the role played by Qatar Stock Exchange in supporting the societyand consolidating the CSR practices through the implementation of severalinitiatives integrating economic, social, educational, sports and healthaspects of community development.
Over the past few years,Qatar Stock Exchange has implemented a number of initiatives aimed at promotingknowledge and investment awareness among the public on the one hand andenhancing health and physical wellness for its staff and their families on theother hand, in addition to participating in many sporting events and blooddonation campaigns. These effortsindicate QSE''''s contribution to achieve sustainable development in the contextof Qatar''''s National Vision 2030, Mr. Al-Mansoori pointed.
The White Book,which is an annual platform for companies to publish their CSR reports,included several pages on QSE''''s development stages, its vision, mission andstrategic objectives; its role in Qatar''''s national economy; its achievementsand leading projects; and its CSR efforts undertaken to achieve the sustainabledevelopment objectives.
