On the occasion of Qatar’s National Sport Day, Qatar Stock Exchange yesterday participated in the activities of this day in carrying out a number of sport and recreational activities at Aspire Zone to promote health and wellbeing of the Qatari society in general and all QSE staff in particular.
QSE Sport Day's activities were attended by all staff and their families. This year's celebration featured football matches, table tennis competitions, kite-flying and other children sport and recreational activities. Various prizes were awarded to kids and adults.
"Since the launch of the National Sport Day in 2012 by H.H the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, QSE has strived to host numerous sports activities to celebrate the day and raise awareness of the importance of health and fitness. Qatar’s National Sport Day is an opportunity for our staff, their families and the wider Qatar community to get involved in various activities and adopt healthier lifestyles”, says Rashid bin Ali Al-Mansoori, CEO of Qatar Stock Exchange.
He added that the Sport Day is a pioneering and an unprecedented initiative aimed at shaping a healthy, sports-loving society by inspiring people to make positive, long-lasting lifestyle changes and enhancing the principles of team building and community participation.
Mr. Al-Mansoori concluded by saying that this National Sport Day is a tangible manifestation of Qatar's visionary commitment to promote a durable sport and health balance in order to improve the quality of life.
QSE's participation in the National Sport Day came under the motto: "Sport Day is a manifestation of our belief in human value and healthy lifestyle."
