OSE has announced to revise the contract specifications for 20-year Japanese government bond (JGB) futures to invigorate trading by enhancing convenience for market participants.
Due to this revision, OSE will restart the new trading for 20-year Japanese government bond futures (20-year JGB futures) on July 6, 2015 (Mon.). The new specifications (i.e., standardized interest rate of 3%, deliverable grade of at least 19 years and 3 months to maturity) will take effect from the December 2015 contract onward.
In connection with this, OSE will suspend trading of the September 2015 contract, which is based on the current specifications (i.e., standardized interest rate of 6%, deliverable grade of at least 18 years to maturity), to avoid confusion between tradable contracts based on different specifications.
