NZX is sponsoring all NZX Listed company delegates to attend the upcoming "The Essentials Of A Successful Investor Relations Programme" course free of charge.
The course, run by the Australasian Investor Relations Association (AIRA), is being held at the NZX Centre in Wellington on Thursday 12 November 2009. AIRA is the professional association in Australia and New Zealand dedicated to advancing the importance and standards of investor relations for listed companies.
NZX Markets Development Manager, Geoff Brown said, "AIRA run these training programmes to improve the relationship between listed entities and the investment community, a goal we share and support. This course will provide practical tips for developing an investor relations programme and focus on the importance of being accessible and consistently reinforcing the company's story and strategy.
"We are providing the opportunity for Listed Companies to send along a representative free of charge to assist them with the development of a strong annual IR programme and to upskill a wider base of New Zealand professionals on the principles and practices of investor relations," said Brown.
The course is designed for CEOs, CFOs, IROs, Corporate Communications and Media Relations professionals with responsibility for the investor relations function.
Topics covered at the course include developing an annual IR calendar, utilising retail broker channels, an investor and media relations toolkit, use of technology and social media and a panel discussion on effective communication with the market with analyst, media and company representatives.
NZX Listed company delegates can register for the "The Essentials Of A Successful Investor Relations Programme" course free of charge. All others are invited to register for a discounted fee of $250.
