The Committee has also decided to adopt a fast entry rule for the CAC 40 Index, as follows:
From 2 March 2009, companies admitted to listing at least 30 business days before the end of the review period may qualify for selection into the CAC 40 index if:
• the free float market capitalisation at the end of the review period places the company among the top 32 of the CAC 40 sample in terms of free float capitalisation
• the daily average turnover, calculated with available data (excluding the 10 first business days from admission to listing) places the company among the top 32 of the CAC 40 sample in terms of daily average turnover
The decision to include a new listed company using the fast entry rule takes place during the regular quarterly review. On an exceptional basis, the Committee may decide to accelerate the process when the characteristics of the stock justify an even faster introduction.
In addition, the Committee has decided that, as well as ordinary shares, depository receipts for shares are eligible for inclusion into the index. This rule will apply to all Euronext Paris indices.
