NYSE Euronext (NYX) has appointed Michelle D. Greene Vice President and Head of Corporate Responsibility, effective Sept. 13, 2010. In addition, Ms. Greene has been named Executive Director of the NYSE Euronext Foundation. Ms. Greene, who most recently served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Education and Financial Access at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, will lead the company’s efforts to promote sustainable corporate practices that benefit our communities and environment, including NYSE Euronext’s financial literacy initiative.
“Michelle has successfully spearheaded the Treasury’s national financial literacy campaign and has extensive leadership experience in advancing public-private partnerships,” said Duncan L. Niederauer, Chief Executive Officer, NYSE Euronext. “Michelle will work to expand our own financial literacy efforts, maximize the impact of our community-based service programs, and enhance our ability to connect our listed companies to leverage their respective social responsibility initiatives. We welcome Michelle to NYSE Euronext.”

As Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Education and Financial Access at the U.S. Department of Treasury, Ms. Greene advised senior Treasury and Administration officials on policy and legislation involving all aspects of financial access and financial education.
