MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), announced it set a new all time monthly electronic volume record of 133,283 contracts traded. Fueled by six top ten electronic trading days, the new record was set on June 22 with six days of trading remaining in the month.
The six top 10 electronic trading days in June 2010 were as follows:
- June 14 – 16,465
- June 8 – 12,262
- June 2 – 11,437
- June 11 – 11,395
- June 15 – 10,636
- June 16 – 9,921
June 14, 2010 is also the seventh best daily total Exchange volume with 18,209 futures and options contracts trading.
The previous monthly electronic trading volume record was set in November 2009 when 131,176 contracts traded electronically.
