MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), recorded the 23rd-highest electronic daily volume in its history on Tuesday, totaling 14,048 electronic contracts traded.
This has been a common theme this year, as there are now nine record days from 2015 on the top 25 electronic daily volume charts. Total volume was also high on Tuesday, reaching 15,482 by day’s end.
Total volume for June now stands at 123,536 with 10 trade dates remaining in the month. Open interest following Tuesday’s activity was 72,748.
