Today, the Government decided to renew its confidence in Martin Andersson, who will stay on as Director General of Finansinspektionen (FI).
Martin Andersson has been Director General of FI since 15 January 2009 and will now stay on in that position until 14 January 2018.
“I am proud of what we have achieved together at FI to bolster the financial sector after the crisis and increase consumer protection. I'm now being given the opportunity to continue to lead that work, which is a great honour.”
Prior to being appointed Director General of FI, Martin Andersson's former positions included being Head of the Financial Stability Department of the Riksbank and advisor to the Bank of England.
