Securities with a total value of 204.5 billion francs were traded on SWX and virt-x during the month of April, a decline of 11.6 % in comparison to the record set in March. However, there were only 18 trading days in the month of April. When viewed on the basis of average daily trading turnover, that amount in fact rose from 10.1 bln (for March) to 11.4 bln francs in the latest month. The very high level of turnover in April was once again primarily attributable to trading in shares and ETFs, whereby the International Bonds segment also recorded a significant increase in turnover.
