Cash Equity Market
- In November 2014, daily average trading value for the TSE 1st Section was JPY 3.1830 trillion, exceeding JPY 3 trillion for the first time in 18 months since May 2013.
- In the ETF market, trading value was JPY 4.3215 trillion, reaching a record high for the second consecutive month.
- In the REIT market, trading value was JPY 896.2 billion, reaching higher levels for the first time in 18 months. The TSE REIT Index also surpassed 1,800 points for the first time in about 7 years.
- Monthly trading value in the 4 ETFs tracking the JPX-Nikkei 400 rose to a total of JPY 75.1 billion, a 2.7-fold increase from last month.
Derivatives Market
- Trading volume in the derivatives market reached a total of 30,767,336 contracts, with a daily average of 1,709,296 contracts (monthly change -0.7%, yearly change +42.4%). Daily average trading volume of JPX-Nikkei 400 futures contracts, which were newly launched on November 25, was 53,379 contracts.
- Trading volume for the night session was 9,303,336 contracts. The ratio of the night session was 30.2%.
- For mini TOPIX futures, trading volume in November reached 549,843 contracts, the 2nd-highest level on record.
