The total value of trading in equities on the Main Market was PLN 201.1 billion in January-October 2014, a decrease of 8.1% year on year. The value of session trading decreased by 5.8% year on year to PLN 176.2 billion in January-October 2014. The average number of transactions per session was 55.6 thousand in January-October 2014, an increase of 9.2% year on year.
The incremental value of session trading in equities on NewConnect increased by 8.2% year on year and stood at PLN 830.2 million in January-October 2014. The average number of transactions per session was 3.0 thousand in October 2014, a decrease of 12.3% year on year.
20 June 2014 was the last trading day of WIG20 futures contracts with a multiplier of PLN 10. Only WIG20 futures contracts with a multiplier of PLN 20 are in trading as of 23 June 2014. For data comparability, the historical volume of trading in WIG20 futures with a multiplier of PLN 10 (before 23 June 2014) was divided by 2 in the index contract line of the table attached to the press release. After the correction, the volume of trading in index contracts increased by 48.8% year on year and stood at 441.6 thousand in October 2014.
The value of non-Treasury bond issues listed on Catalyst was PLN 60.9 billion at the end of October 2014, an increase of 2.6% year on year. The total value of trading on Catalyst was PLN 310.3 million, an increase of 28.2% year on year.
The total value of trading on TBSP decreased by 7.2% year on year to PLN 682.3 billion in January-October 2014.
The total volume of trading in electricity was 20.5 TWh in October 2014, an increase of 14.9% year on year. The year-on-year increase was reported both for spot and forward transactions (by 6.5% and 15.9%, respectively). The volume of trading in property rights increased by 96.8% and reached 3.0 TWh in October 2014.
The total volume of spot and forward transactions in gas was 24 TWh in October 2014, compared to 0.1 TWh in October 2013. The incremental volume of trading in gas was 88.1 TWh in January-October 2014, compared to less than 0.9 TWh in January-October 2013.
The capitalisation of 417 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 622 billion (EUR 148 billion) at the end of October 2014.
The total capitalisation of 466 domestic and foreign companies listed on the WSE Main Market was PLN 904 billion (EUR 215 billion) at the end of October 2014.
The companies Termo-Rex Polwax, Synektik, Internet Media Services and CDRL were newly listed on the Main Market in October 2014. The companies Synektik and Internet Media Services transferred from NewConnect without an offering. The total value of the new listings was more than PLN 72.2 million in October 2014.
The company Investeko was newly listed on NewConnect in October 2014. The value of the offering was PLN 1.7 million.
Bonds of the companies Comp, Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcyjno-Handlowo-Usługowe Mexpol, CCC, Ivopol and SMS Kredyt Holding were newly listed on Catalyst in October 2014. The total value of the bonds newly listed on Catalyst in October 2014 was more than PLN 254 million.
WSE held 23 trading sessions in October 2014, the same as in October 2013.
