The average daily number of transactions increased by 10.1% year on year to 65.5 thousand transactions in January 2015.
The total value of trading on NewConnect reached PLN 137.9 million in January 2015, an increase of 10.1% year on year. The value of the Electronic Order Book on NewConnect increased by 30.9% to PLN 130.2 million in January 2015 and the average daily value of trading increased by 37.5% to PLN 6.5 million.
The volume of trading in single-stock futures was 83.9 thousand contracts in January 2015, an increase of 70.3% year on year.
The volume of trading in index futures was 421.8 thousand contracts in January 2015. 20 June 2014 was the last trading day of WIG20 futures contracts with a multiplier of PLN 10. Only WIG20 futures contracts with a multiplier of PLN 20 are in trading as of 23 June 2014. For data comparability, the historical volume of trading in WIG20 futures with a multiplier of PLN 10 (before 23 June 2014) was divided by 2 in the index contract line of the table attached to the press release. After the correction, the volume of trading in index futures increased by 18.0% year on year in January 2015.
The value of non-Treasury bond issues listed on Catalyst was PLN 64.5 billion at the end of January 2015, an increase of 7.5% year on year.
The value of cash transactions on TBSP decreased by 18.7% year on year to PLN 29.5 billion in January 2015.
The value of trading in structured products was PLN 68.5 million in January 2015, an increase of 111.3% year on year. The value of trading in investment certificates increased by 54.5% year on year to PLN 6.9 million.
The volume of forward transactions in electricity was 11.5 TWh in January 2015, an increase of 121.1% year on year. The volume of spot transactions increased by 18.3% year on year to 2.9 TWh in January 2015. The volume of trading in property rights to certificates of origin increased by 132.2% year on year to 4.2 TWh in January 2015.
The total volume of spot and forward transactions in gas was 11.3 TWh in January 2015, compared to 0.4 TWh in January 2014.
The capitalisation of 421 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 595 billion (EUR 141 billion) at the end of January 2015.
The total capitalisation of 472 domestic and foreign companies listed on the WSE Main Market was PLN 1,211 billion (EUR 287 billion) at the end of January 2015.
The companies Dekpol and Biomed-Lublin were newly listed on the Main Market in January 2015. The total value of the new listings was more than PLN 29.28 million in January 2015.
Bonds of the companies Novavis and Raiffeisen Bank Polska were newly listed on Catalyst in January 2015. The total value of the bonds newly listed in January 2015 was more than PLN 503 million.
WSE held 20 trading sessions in January 2015, one less than in January 2014.
