The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) held its 2nd workshop that associates between the investment banks' fund managers and the listed companies' investor relations executives. Through this workshop, the listed companies presented their business plans in order to trigger their trading activity.
The workshop, hosted in EGX, witnessed a joint discussion between the investor relations executives mainly of the listed companies constituting EGX30 and the fund managers of financial institutions, banks and brokerage firms.
The IR managers highlighted their companies performance in Egypt & abroad, whereas the participants discussed the influence of the international energy prices as well as the other international and local influencers such as the exchange rate on the Egyptian companies' activities .
Moreover, the participants suggested that the listed companies disclose more data about their future plans to facilitate for fund managers to decide whether to increase or reduce their investments.
On the other hand, the political and economic changes in Egypt and its has a effect of the investment climate in Egypt was discussed. It also highlighted the importance of the presence of appealing factors that attracts the direct and indirect investment to Egypt.
Finally, the workshop was finalized by an open invitation to all market participants to participate in the upcoming workshops.
