Right in time for Christmas Börse Berlin puts a little present under the investors`Christmas trees. From 23rd December on Xontro trading at the capital`s exchange starts already at 8:00. Thus investors get the opportunity to react to new developments at the international financial markets 12 hours every trading day.
„During the past months we talked to many private investors at fairs and events and thus got an insight into investors`wishes and needs“, Dr. Jörg Walter, Joint CEO Börse Berlin says. „An important concern of many investors was an earlier trading start, which especially would allow quicker reactions to developments on the Russian and Asian markets. We gladly comply with this request“.
Through the early trading start and thanks to different time zones international stocks are now in many cases traded parallel to their home markets. For example from December 23rd on trading in Berlin starts at the same time as trading on RTS in Moscow; from 8:00 am to 11:30 am trading runs parallel to trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange, until 10:00 am parallel to the Singapore Exchange and until 9:00.
