- The Dow Jones Europe Index fell -4.18% in April to 248.30. So far this year, the index is down -6.03%.
- The Dow Jones Asian Titans 50 Index fell -1.58% in April to 137.56. Year-to-date, the index is up 2.45%.
- The Dow Jones Global Titans 50 Index fell -1.17% in April, closing at 171.20. Year-to-date, the index is down -1.41%.
APRIL 2010 Sector Winners and Losers
- In the U.S., the Dow Jones U.S. Oil & Gas Index was the biggest winner in April, posting a 5.73% gain. The Dow Jones U.S. Health Care Index posted the biggest loss, dropping -3.60%.
- In Europe, the Dow Jones Europe Oil & Gas Index posted the biggest gain, climbing 0.03%. The Dow Jones Europe Financials Index had the sharpest decline, falling -6.95%.
- In Asia, the Dow Jones Asia/Pacific Technology Index posted the biggest gain, rising 2.65%. The Dow Jones Asia/Pacific Utilities Index posted the biggest loss, down -3.18%.
- Globally, the Dow Jones World Travel & Leisure Titans Index had the best performance, climbing 2.45%. The Dow Jones World Insurance Titans Index posted the biggest loss, dropping -5.35%.
