Chicago Climate Futures Exchange® (CCFE®) announced today that Macquarie Futures USA Inc. (“Macquarie Futures USA”), a specialist global futures broker, has become a Trading Privilege Holder (TPH) of the Exchange.
TPH rights enable an individual or company to receive a discount on transaction fees. TPH rights also enable Macquarie Futures to become a Clearing Member of CCFE, which provides the ability to clear CCFE products for their customers.
“Macquarie joining CCFE is a strong development for the U.S. environmental markets and an important asset for our members and the Exchange,” said Richard Sandor, chairman and founder of Chicago Climate Futures Exchange.
“We are excited to become a member of the CCFE. We feel that CCFE membership will enable us to further expand our global product offering particularly at what we view as a pivotal time for the environmental markets both globally and in the U.S.,” said Joseph Mazurek, President of Macquarie Futures USA.
CCFE is a Commodity Futures Trading Commission regulated Designated Contract Market, which offers a broad range of environmental futures and options contracts including emission allowances, renewable energy certificates and other environmentally-focused products.
