Order book turnover on Xetra, Börse Frankfurt and Tradegate Exchange across all asset classes stood at €137.1 billion in April (April 2014: €96.4 billion).
Of the €137.1 billion, €125.0 billion were attributable to Xetra (April 2014: €88.4 billion). The average daily turnover on Xetra stood at €6.3 billion in April (April 2014: €4.4 billion).
A turnover of €5.2 billion was attributable to Börse Frankfurt (April 2014: €3.9 billion).
Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange* totalled approximately €6.9 billion in April (April 2014: €4.0 billion).
Broken down by asset classes, cash market turnover in equities reached about €117,9 billion. Turnover in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs amounted to €16.4 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.6 billion, and in structured products €1.9 billion. The electronic trading platform Eurex Bonds traded €7.6 billion (single counting, mainly government bonds) in April (April 2014: €7.6 billion).
Viewed by transactions, a total of 19.1 million trades were executed on Xetra in April (April 2014: 16.0 million).
The DAX security with the highest turnover in April was Daimler AG at €7.8 billion. Deutsche Annington Immobilien SE led the MDAX equities at €647.5 million, while Zalando SE topped the SDAX equity index with €380.7 million, and Dialog Semiconductor plc headed TecDAX with €498.3 million. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF with €1.8 billion.
