Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) and Tokyo Stock Exchange Regulation (TSER) held the 3rd general meeting of the Liaison Council on Measures to Eliminate Anti-social Forces today. The council was jointly established by the National Police Agency, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the TSE, and TSER.
The council aims to strengthen cooperation among police agencies, the TSE, and TSER, and to prevent unjust acts, etc. by anti-social bodies such as crime syndicates, etc. which may interrupt the TSE market. With these efforts, we are contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a sound and fair securities market.
Through the council, the TSE and TSER have been committed to specific activities that include the following:
- Eliminating anti-social elements from the TSE market;
- Strengthening cooperation and exchange of information with the police agencies; and
- Actively participating in and cooperating in police agencies' activities to eliminate crime syndicates, etc.
In today's 3rd general meeting of the council, the members summed up their activities from the past year. They also shared detailed information and carried out vigorous exchanges of opinions.
The TSE and TSER will continue to reinforce their activities through the council to eliminate anti-social forces, and make the utmost efforts to further enhance the confidence and reliability of the TSE market.
