The Tokyo Commodity Exchange announced today that April 2019 average daily volume was 68,843 contracts, down 13.2% from March and down 24.2% from April 2018. Volume increased for some of TOCOM’s main contracts, such as Platinum Standard, which grew 17.4% from March to 17,259 contracts and Dubai Crude Oil, which increased 2.1% to 10,284 contracts. On the other hand, Gold Standard decreased 27.7% to 24,143 contracts and Gold Mini fell 30.6% to 4,285 contracts.
