TSE’s CEO delivered a speech in the Conference on Business Environment Improvement in Iran on Tuesday 5 November 2013.
“Improving business environment in macro-economic dimensions will strengthen private sector’s role to increase employment and production level, provide economic development, reduce poverty and absorb foreign investment”, stated Dr. Ghalibaf.
He mentioned that the Exchanges are able to develop corporate financing, extend investment in the primary and secondary markets, increase fair profit making opportunities for the market’s stakeholders, and generally improve the country’s business environment.
“Market’s transparency, dissemination, developing market access, implementing corporate governance (CG) principles, overseeing traders’ activities, as well as investors education are among the mechanisms to protect Exchanges’ investors”, TSE’s CEO asserted.
Dr. Hassan Ghalibaf declared his proposals to improve business environment as developing NGOs, ratifying and implementing CG regulations, rules enforcement, revising the Commercial Code and Civil Code with the emphasis on business environment improvement, and tax laws reform.
