As previously announced, Oslo Børs will upgrade to a new version – version 8, of Millennium Exchange for the equities and fixed income markets at Oslo Børs, Oslo Axess, Burgundy and Nordic ABM. We are hereby pleased to provide a timetable for the launch, as well as inform our members, market data vendors and ISVs how to keep up to date with any relevant information distributed during the project.
Millennium Exchange Version 8 will bring Oslo Børs and other exchanges using Millennium Exchange one step closer to operating on the same versions of the trading platform. The new version will also include new and improved functionality. These changes will be further described in the updated documentation and market models published within the next few weeks.
Oslo Børs would like to take the opportunity to encourage all parties interested in following the upgrade of the trading system to add their e-mail to the subscription service at our Delta web. More information about customer communications throughout the project period can be found at the bottom of the page.

Version 8 will be made accessible in the Millennium Exchange CDS environment as of March 6th.
The setup of the test environment, test activities and test calendar are described in OSLMIT 501 Guide to Testing Services.
Updated Reference Data Files 6 March
The reference data files will be updated in the CDS environment once Version 8 is made accessible for test on March 6th. The updated files will include the format changes described in the latest version of the document OSLMIT 401 Reference Data.
Dress Rehearsals 26 April and 10 May
Oslo Børs has scheduled two dress rehearsals in the production environment (PROD) prior to going live with Version 8. These will be held 26 April (DR1) and 10 May (DR2), where DR1 is mandatory for all members and market data vendors. The dress rehearsals will consist of a regular, but compressed trading day where various market activities are carried out, as well as performance tests. On DR2 there will also be a “failover and recovery”-scenario where trading will be transferred to the secondary data center. This is an optional dress rehearsal, but Oslo Børs encourages participation.
Note that all software that will be used toward the Millennium platform must be certified and that all connectivity must be established prior to the dress rehearsals. Please view the updated versions of the documentation describing application certification, network and connectivity under Technical documentation at the Delta web.
Go-live 2 June
Millennium Exchange Version 8 will go live Monday 2 June. We will distribute further information about the launch as we approach the go-live date.
Communication Arrangements for the Project
Oslo Børs aims to ensure that everyone who will be involved in the Millennium Exchange upgrade shall have full access to necessary project information at all times. As with previous projects, we will use the Delta web in distributing all project information. This includes updated documentation, forms, contacts, continuous updates and other relevant and necessary information.
At the Delta web you will also find a subscription service where everyone who wishes to receive information related to the upgrade directly by e-mail is encouraged to add their e-mail address.
In addition to distributing written information via the Delta web, Oslo Børs will be available for one-to-one meetings with our members, market data vendors and ISVs pending their request. We will also host information meetings in Oslo and Stockholm. Meeting invitations will be distributed through the Delta web shortly.
Oslo Børs looks forward to working with you in the Millennium Exchange Version 8 upgrade for our equities and fixed Income markets. And if you have any questions at this time, please do not hesitate to contact one of the following at Oslo Børs:
