The common shares of L-1 Identity Solutions, a new company formed after the combination and transfer of two companies previously listed on Nasdaq, began trading today on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “ID”.
L-1 Identity Solutions is the combined company formed as a result of the completion of the merger between Viisage Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: VISG) and Identix Incorporated (NASDAQ: IDNX).

Today’s NYSE listing by L-1 follows several transfers this year by companies listed on other U.S. exchanges to the NYSE Group Inc.’s listing venues, including non-US companies and companies that transferred from other markets to NYSE Arca.
