In addition, NYBOT’s Sugar No. 11® options contract set an open interest record on January 10, 2005, of 445,347 contracts, replacing the previous high of 443,280 contracts, set on January 6, 2005.
On January 6, 2005, a new open interest record was set in Sugar futures (385,432 contracts), and on January 7, 2005, an open interest record of 155,066 contracts in Coffee options.
NYBOT’s FCOJ contract has a trading unit of 15,000 pounds of orange solids, and trades from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm (NY Time). The World Sugar contract is 112,000 lbs. of raw centrifugal cane sugar from 29 countries throughout the world and trades from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (NY Time).
