Philip's previous experience includes 12 years with Deutsche Bank's Investment Banking Division, where he managed many high profile M&A transactions, including Amersham International's merger with Nycomed, Richemont's buy-out of the minority shareholders in Vendome Luxury Group and Deutsche Post's joint venture with Securicor in the UK. More recently, he was a Senior Managing Director in the European M&A Group at Bear Stearns, responsible for leading their M&A origination initiatives in the Media, Transport and Logistics and Hotels and Leisure sectors with companies in the UK, continental Europe and the USA.

Philip will join the Exchange on 20 May 2002.
