The Board of Directors of Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) today agreed to appoint Julia Sanz López as a new Board member. The appointment was made during the company’s meeting, held today, at the request of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Julia Sanz López holds a Law & Economics Degree from the Pedralbes University and is a licensed stockbroker at the Barcelona and Madrid stock exchanges. She is currently working as a Notary in Madrid.
In accordance with article 6 of BME’s Board of Directors’ Internal Regulations, Julia Sanz López has been considered an independent director, as she does not have personal or professional links to the company, its shareholders or managers. She will be in office until the company’s next Annual General Shareholders Meeting.
