Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will observe a three-minute period of silence with all Exchange Participants in the Trading Hall at 2:28 pm today (Monday) as a sign of respect for those who died as a result of the earthquake in Sichuan last Monday. The brief ceremony will be led by HKEx Chairman Ronald Arculli and Chief Executive Paul Chow.
Exchange Participants with off-floor trading facilities have been invited to observe the period of silence in their offices.
The securities and derivatives markets will open as scheduled this afternoon.
