July saw positive performance across the majority of FTSE Mondo Visione Exchange constituents as markets rebounded after the Brexit turmoil.
What a difference a month makes. In June Japan Exchange Group was the second worst performer in the index a decline of 16.4%. In July, in contrast, Japan Exchange Group was the best performer with an increase of 26%. Bolsa Mexicana de Valores was the second best performer with a 16.6% increase, with Euronext in third place with a 16% increase.
FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index worst performer by capital returns in US dollars was Nairobi Securities Exchange with 11 per cent decrease. JSE with a decline of 3% decrease was the second worst performer. Moscow Exchange was third from the bottom with a 2.7% decline.
Commenting on the Index which closed at 36346.07 on 29 July, 2016, Herbie Skeete, Managing Director, Mondo Visione and Co-founder of the Index said: “After a year to forget, JPX is having a month to remember with a 25.9% net rise in the last 21 trading sessions and a one day rise of 7.8% on July 12”.
