The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) signed an MOU with Alexandria University allowing cooperation between both parties to raise capital market awareness among university students. The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohammed Farid Saleh, EGX Chairman, and Dr. Essam AlKordi, President of Alexandria University, on Sunday at the Alexandria University premise.
The agreement states that EGX will provide lectures, workshops and seminars on the stock market for university students in various faculties. These activities will acquaint students with the basics of investment and long-term savings through the Stock market.
Mohamed Farid Saleh, EGX chairman, said that signing this agreement with Alexandria University will support the stock exchange's efforts to spread financial literacy especially among young generations. He added that EGX is constantly seeking cooperation with all stakeholders for the development of the Egyptian capital market.
Dr. Alkordi confirmed that the career development center at the Alexandria University will ensure the implementation of this MOU, adding that EGX’s awareness activities in the University will start the next month.
